CNA Week Celebrated
At Sunnyview, our Certified Nursing Assistants are the true heart of our community. To honor them during CNA Week, we planned themed dress‑up days, engaging activities, delicious food, and heartfelt gestures of appreciation.
Monday, June 16 – Superhero Day & Scavenger Hunt
The week began with capes and masks as aides became “everyday heroes.” They enjoyed a playful scavenger hunt across campus, building camaraderie and laughter while celebrating their heroism.
Tuesday, June 17 – Pajama Day + Dirty Energy Drinks & Breakfast
Cozy excitement filled the air as CNAs donned pajamas for a relaxing morning. Office staff served “dirty energy drinks” (energy drinks with a twist) alongside a warm breakfast energizing everyone for the day ahead.
Wednesday, June 18 – Sports Day
Game day vibes took over as CNAs sported their favorite team gear. Our campus buzzed with friendly competitiveness, themed snacks, and endless team spirit.
Thursday, June 19 – Dress as a Favorite Resident + Goodie Bags
Thursday was extra special. CNAs dressed as beloved residents a heartfelt tribute to those they care for daily. Each aide received a thoughtful “goodie bag” filled with treats just for them.
Friday, June 20 – “White Lie” Tees & Outdoor Tie‑Dye
The grand finale had everyone wearing white T-shirts featuring funny “white lies” (“I never hit snooze!”), which they then tie-dyed outdoors. The result? Unique, colorful keepsakes capturing creativity and community.
🍽️ Lunches & Treats Shared by the Sunnyview Family
Two generous lunches were provided by Ronny and Helen Swank, giving staff a delicious midday boost and time to connect. Throughout the week, other families also showered our CNAs with sweets and treats bringing warmth and community spirit to every shift.
💙 Spotlight on Our Heroes
Each day, Sunnyview’s Facebook page featured a post on every single aide, showcasing their themed outfits and sharing “a little about me.” These daily spotlights gave residents, families, and the community a heartfelt look at the lives of our CNAs outside of work.
🎖️ A Personal “Pinning” from DON Melanie Brown
To top it all off, our Director of Nursing, Melanie Brown, hand-delivered CNA pins to each aide. These pins were meaningful tokens of gratitude small, personal, and deeply appreciated reminders of their essential role.

CNA Week at Sunnyview was a vibrant celebration of compassion and community. From themed dress-up to thoughtful meals, daily spotlights, and personal recognition, every moment was crafted to honor and uplift our CNAs. They are the heart of Sunnyview—and this week, we made sure they knew it.
