“Senior” Prom Night
The halls of Sunnyview Nursing Home transformed into a scene straight out of a high school memory, as our residents enjoyed a very special evening : Senior Prom Night. With music, laughter, and joy filling the air, it was an unforgettable celebration for residents, families , and staff alike.
The evening began with a red-carpet entrance, where our residents proudly showcased their glamorous prom dresses and sharp tuxedos. Cameras flashed, families cheered, and smiles were everywhere as each resident made their way into the decorated dance hall.
Inside, a lively DJ played classic hits that brought back sweet memories and inspired plenty of dancing. The atmosphere was light and fun, with staff and family members joining residents on the dance floor. Everyone swayed, spun, twist and shouted to their old favorite hits, proving that you’re never too old to dance the night away.
No prom is complete without refreshments, and guests enjoyed a delicious spread of punch, sandwiches, and cupcakes while catching their breath from all the dancing.
The highlight of the night came with the much-anticipated announcement of the prom King and Queen. After all the un and festivities, the crowns were placed on the heads of two beloved residents: Earlene Moore, our beautiful prom Queen, and Lewis Rogers, our dashing prom King. The crowd cheered as they shared a dance together, a moment that will surely be remembered by everyone in attendance.
At Sunnyview, we believe in creating experiences that celebrate life, joy, and community. Senior Prom Night was a shining example of that, reminding us that special moments don’t have an age limit.
To our residents, staff, families, and volunteers, thank you for helping make this magical night possible. It was prom we’ll never forget!
