This quarter, we are proud to honor Monica Farr as our Employee of the Quarter — a woman whose dedication, heart, and service have made an immeasurable impact on our community.
36 Years of Service, One Incredible Journey
Monica’s journey with Sunnyview began 36 years ago, and from day one, she has embodied everything we strive to be — dependable, selfless, and resident-focused. She spent her first 15 years here caring directly for our residents as a Certified Nursing Assistant, Certified Medication Technician, and Restorative Aide. Her compassion and attention to detail made her a beloved figure among residents and families alike.
After those years of direct care, Monica seamlessly transitioned into the laundry department, where she spent another 15 years ensuring our residents had clean, comfortable clothing and linens. Her diligence and pride in her work set a high standard and helped create a warm, welcoming environment for everyone.
A Leader Across Departments
For the past 6 years, Monica has served as the Department Head of Environmental Services, bringing her extensive experience and deep understanding of Sunnyview’s mission to the role. Her leadership has been instrumental in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our facility.
As if that wasn’t enough, Monica also took on the Department Head of Maintenance role just over a year ago. Balancing both leadership roles with grace, she continues to be a go-to problem solver, helping every department whenever and wherever she's needed.
Always Lending a Hand
Monica’s helping spirit knows no bounds. She recently rolled up her sleeves alongside our maintenance crew and the Jamesport Community Church to help landscape the main entrance of Sunnyview, making it more beautiful and inviting for everyone. Whether it’s lending a hand in a pinch, organizing a project, or quietly taking care of the little things behind the scenes, Monica is always there.

Perhaps most remarkable is Monica’s connection with our residents and their families. She knows every name, every story, and every smile. Her presence is a source of comfort, joy, and familiarity for so many — a true testament to her unwavering commitment and compassion.
