Sunnyview Nursing Home and Apartments, was built in 1973 at its current location. Prior to this the county home was located in a farm house outside the Trenton city limits. Citizens were able to see the importance of having the ability to provide a more modern facility for the people of Grundy County and the surrounding areas. Therefore, a nursing home district was formed under Missouri State Statute and the new facility was constructed. Sunnyview Nursing Home & Apartments is a large facility that consists of 154 beds and 37 Apartments.

Revenue generated goes directly toward the operation of the facility. A benefit the citizens receive, is the reassurance that they will have a nursing home facility providing short term, long term, or simply rehabilitative services in their county. A board of directors elected by the citizens of the county provide guidance to the facility. Sunnyview not only provides a facility for citizens to get quality care when needed, but also provides employment and benefits to over 150 employees.
