Housekeeping/Laundry and Maintenance
Environmental Services includes housekeeping, laundry, maintenance and environmental safety service provisions

It is the goal of the environmental service areas that Sunnyview Nursing Home and Apartments are kept safe, clean, in good repair, aesthetically pleasing, and odor free for all residents, staff, family members and visitors.

The grounds and several patio/porch areas are maintained to allow availability for resident's seasonal enjoyment. Flower and Vegetable gardens are tended by staff and residents who wish to volunteer.

Sunnyview Nursing Home and Apartments have an ongoing safety program for residents, staff, and visitors. Our disaster manual contains plans for a variety of disaster situations should the need arise.

At Sunnyview Nursing Home and Apartments all residents have a right to be self-determining. Safety devices may be used for resident safety, after an assessment of the resident’s needs is completed, with input from the resident if able, family, physician and staff.

Each resident’s room and bathroom is equipped with a call light that is easily accessible. To use the call light just pull the cord or push the button, a visual light will go off outside the room and an audible and visual signal will go off at the nurses station alerting staff members to respond quickly.

Maintenance, Housekeeping and Laundry Departments are able to help in many ways. Housekeepers and maintenance personnel follow regular maintenance and cleaning schedules to assure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for all our residents.

When moving in furniture, hanging pictures, etc. we are more than willing to accommodate our residents to the best of our capabilities.
